Community Volunteer Services for Seniors
Community Volunteer Services for Seniors offers outreach services for seniors that are isolated and homebound in the Tri-Cities area.  Fraser Health Authority provides funding for programs to the Wilson Centre Seniors' Advisory Association (a non-profit charitable organization).

Shop by Phone Grocery Program
This program is available to seniors and people with physical limitations living the Tri-Cities area who cannot get out to shop for themselves.  Volunteers take your order over the phone and shop for you at a nearby grocery store.  Delivery charge is $2.50.

Visiting Program
This program matches volunteers with a lonely, homebound senior 65+ who has little or no support in the community to provide a weekly home visit for friendship and companionship.  Visiting volunteers do not provide transportation.

Telephone Reassurance Program
A volunteer will call a homebound senior once a week for a friendly chat and reassurance.

Computer Assistance Program
If you are a low-income senior with a computer, we have a volunteer that can help you at your home.  Help to connect you to the internet, assist you to use e-mail, learn the use of the world wide web or assist installing and setup of programs.

Information and Referral
CVSS staff will provide assistance to inform you of senior's resources and services in the community.

Volunteers are the vital link to the success of our programs.  Volunteers receive orientation and on-going support.  For volunteer inquiries and opportunities, please call 604.927.7919.
