The City of Port Coquitlam does not believe that anyone should have to miss out on the opportunity to get involved in recreation programs due to a lack of financial resources.  The Parks and Recreation Department offers the following support services:

Subsidy for Individuals

If your financial circumstances make it difficult for you to pay the full fee for programs, you may qualify for a subsidy.  Click here for a individual subsidy application form.  Application forms are also available from all City-owned recreation facilities, by calling 604.927.7946, 604.927.7970 or 604.927.8400.  

Subsidy for Personal Assistants

It is generally accepted and understood that recreation services should be inclusive for all.  However, physical or mental limitations can prove to be a barrier that will prevent some citizens from independently participating in recreation opportunities.  Click here for a subsidy application form.  Forms are also available from all City-owned recreation facilities or by calling 604.927.7946, 604.927.7970 or 604.927.8400. 

Leisure Buddy Program

If physical or mental limitations limit participation you may benefit from the assistance of a Leisure Buddy.  Leisure Buddies are local volunteers who provide support in facility based programs.  If you would like to volunteer as a Leisure Buddy, click here for more information.
