Biography
The fact that Sherry Carroll graduated from West Vancouver Senior High School with double honours in arts and sciences provides some insight into the multifaceted interests of this first-time Councillor. Sherry has successfully spanned the gap between the arts and sciences throughout her life, pursuing a career as a professional geoscientist while dedicating her personal time to the arts, the environment, heritage and her family.

She and her husband Peter moved to Port Coquitlam in 1992, and before long the couple had joined the fight to preserve Colony Farm and help found the Community Gardens there. These efforts sparked a passion for the environment that continues to this day.

Well known in the local arts community for both her involvement in art associations and her photography-based collages and installations, Sherry began her artistic endeavors in the 1990s after studying Fibre Arts at Capilano College.

Amongst her many years of volunteerism, Sherry is proud of serving as co-chair of Port Coquitlam's Spirit of BC Committee. Drawing on her experience and background, she help author several panels of the Historical Continuum along the Traboulay PoCo Trail, one of the committee's legacy projects.

Sherry is enjoying her position on City Council, working with the City's fine staff and her new colleagues.
