The City of Port Coquitlam Purchasing Division is responsible for acquiring goods and services and managing the disposal of surplus materials for the City in a responsible, professional and cost-effective manner. As well as the acquisition of purchasing goods and service, the Purchasing Division oversees a number other functions such as risk management. The Purchasing Division also ensures reasonable value is obtained on disposal of surplus goods and is also responsible for Stores which handles maintenance, repair and operational inventory.
The City of Port Coquitlam maintains a strict purchasing policy coupled with practices recognized by the Purchasing Management Association of Canada.
