At each regular Council meeting, Council hears from citizens or other parties who have concerns about issues affecting the City of Port Coquitlam. To appear before Council, you must submit a request in writing to the Corporate Office by 12:00 noon on the Wednesday prior to the Council meeting at which you wish to appear. If there is no available time slot, a staff member of the Corporate Office will contact you to make alternate arrangements for your request.

A Corporate Office staff member will contact you to confirm your attendance at the meeting. If you require any audio/visual equipment, please advise the staff member at this time.
The Council meeting begins at 7:00 pm in the Council Chambers, Third Floor, Port Coquitlam City Hall. Delegations are among the first items of business on the agenda, so please ensure that you arrive at the meeting by 6:45 pm. If you have made arrangements to use audio/visual equipment, we recommend that you meet with a Corporate Office representative by 6:45 pm.
When it is time for you to speak, the Mayor will call your name. At that time, you will come forward to the podium at the front of the Chamber. Please be sure to state your name and address clearly at the start of your presentation, and to speak directly into the microphone provided. You will be given five minutes to make your presentation, after which the Mayor and/or Councillors may ask you questions.
Once you have finished your presentation, you may resume your seat to watch the remainder of the meeting, or you may leave. If you elect to leave at this time, please do so in a quiet, orderly manner so as not to interrupt the proceedings.
