When is the next election?
The next BC General Local Election for local governments will be Saturday, November 19, 2011 from 8 am to 8 pm.  Port Coquitlam voters elect a mayor, six councillors and two school trustees at the municipal election. 

The advance polls will be held from 8am to 8pm at the Elks Hall, located at 2272 Leigh Square on:2011election-web-logo

Do I qualify to vote?

You may vote in a BC local election as a resident elector if you:
  • are a Canadian citizen
  • are 18 years of age or more on general voting day
  • have lived in BC for at least 6 months before you register to vote
  • have lived in the City of Port Coquitlam for 30 days or more before you register to vote
