When is the next election?
The next BC General Local Election for local governments will be Saturday, November 15, 2014 from 8 am to 8 pm. Port Coquitlam voters elect a mayor, six councillors and two school trustees at the municipal election.

In accordance with the recently enacted legislation, those elected in November 2014 will serve in office for four years.

Are you eligible to vote?
You may vote in a BC local election as a resident elector if you:
- Are 18 years of age or more on general voting day (November 15, 2014)
- A Canadian citizen
- A resident of BC for at least six months immediately before the day you register to vote
- A resident of Port Coquitlam for 30 days or more before you register to vote
