May Day
Bubbles May DayThe City of Port Coquitlam has been celebrating May Day since 1923. Our community's modern day celebration includes a whole week of fun-filled activities including outdoor concerts, community showcases, May Pole dancing, amusement rides and the May Day Rotary Parade.

The 2014 May Day Festival ran from May 2 to May 11.

The festivities kicked off on Friday, May 2nd with the Opening Ceremony at the Port Coquitlam Recreation
Complex. Events continued throughout the week (the Port Coquitlam May Day Rotary Parade was on Saturday, May 10th at 11am) and wrapped up with a Mother's Day picnic in Lions Park on Sunday, May 11.

Road Closures

Every year, crowds of people flock to downtown Port Coquitlam for the Rotary May Day Parade, the May Day Mile Fun Run and the Leigh Square Community Block Party. But, for those that live in the area, the influx of people and abundance of street closures can make getting around a little tricky.

**There will be no on-street parking during these times**

The Coast Meridian Overpass is OPEN to traffic as usual.
