Our Mission
To provide computer system support and leadership to Council and staff of the City of Port Coquitlam so that they have timely access to secure and reliable information and data, in order that they may best provide a wide variety of services to City citizens.
Information Systems Services
The Information Services Department supports the business operations of City of the Port Coquitlam through the provision of citywide information systems and services. The Manager of Information Services is the lead manager of the department.
- Application Services
- Analyzes, designs, develops, implements and maintains application software to meet City business needs.
- Technical Services
- Schedules, executes and monitors programs and provides data backup, printing and operating system support services for the City’s enterprise class computer systems.
- PC Technical Services
- Provides consultation, configuration, installation, and support for the City’s Personal Computers.
- Network Services
- Designs, installs and maintains the City LAN, WAN, network backbone and City server operating systems.
- Help Desk Services
- Provides citywide technical problem resolution and customer services for PC and computer terminal software support.
- Overseeing the installation and maintenance of the City's Information Technology.
- Supporting new software applications.
- Supporting existing software applications.
- Providing technology consultation services.
- Implementing and maintaining approved standards.
- Providing training to customers and technical support staff to effectively employ information technology.
- Providing secure access and continuity of access to City Information and data.
- Providing records and information management services.
