what accomplishments? sorry, but there are few are in favour with recent policy changes. I respect that you and council have somewhat inherited a financial debt. it has been you and members council that has made many changes, some I can understand the reason, but why does it have to be in such a bullying manner. You need to realise that you are seen to have won your election by default. Frankly I'd hoped you'd win, but am disappointed with your performance and or decision making in particular your demeanor towards the Tax Payers of Port Coquitlam. Your Blog is a fine example, I know several people who have made comment, yet none have been shown.why is that? regards G.Vernon

I would like to know who is paying for the extra staffing and cost to take care of your blog? My family and kids are big supporters for the Terry Fox library and you have propose to make changes and improve the programs and renovations, but I haven't heard one single support especially when the provincial govt. were making cuts to libray programs. I can still recall your words at the All Candidates meeting. The jobs are not out there, seniors are in need of funding, taxes continues to go up and up and doesn't make sense when programs in need are going to be cut. I am too disappointed with most of your decisions when you said that you would let the public have their inputs. I have to respect what you are trying to do and make changes for the better of this city, but not when you are trying to save costs on the garbage program and start paying extra to promote the city website and your blog. Please tell me that I have mistaken and put out the numbers of how much is costing us tax payers just to run your site. Thank you, Joe Williams

The development of the remaining land parcels in the Dominion Triangle should be TOP priority.

Thank you for your comments. Mr. Vernon, I appreciated our phone conversation and the ablity to discuss our community. Mr. Williams, there are no extra costs to run the Mayor's web site. I post all Blogs, I reply to all comments (including this one), I post my own Twitter and Facebook comments. I believe in working hard to reach out to our community and one of the best tools is through social marketing. I am proud to be the first mayor in Vancouver, maybe even BC to have a Blog. We reciently released our 2010 draft budget, I welcome your comments on ares we can save in order to keep taxes down. Further, we brought back a new version of the Seniors discount, we increased the refund amount but we introduced criteria to qualify, so we are targeting the seniors who need the discount. Thank you for your comments, Greg
