Presentations and Accolades
The CMO's engineering work included:
- the push-launch in June 2009 of a 125-metre-long section of the span – the longest ever in North America.
- the use of lightweight expanded polystyrene (EPS) within precast concrete panels for the north and south approaches.
- a complex cable-stayed design that allowed for a two-metre reduction in the depth of the beams.
