Councillor Laura Dupont

Laura acknowledges the traditional and unceded territory of the kʷikʷəƛ̓əm people where she resides. Laura is inspired by nature and has spent decades volunteering for various environmental groups in the Tri-Cities. Laura is a two-term Port Coquitlam City Councillor and President of the Lower Mainland Local Government Association. She is a founding member of the Wondrous Tree Fellowship, that works to celebrate and educate the community about natures numerous benefits. Laura is also a member of the Safe Energy Leadership Alliance and works on the Tri-Cities Food Security Council. She has been a member of Metro Vancouver’s Climate Action Committee since 2015 and is a member of Canada’s Climate Caucus. Laura is also engaged in consensus-based watershed governance as a member of the Coquitlam River Watershed Roundtable. 

Laura loves to paddle rivers and wetlands, and hike and bike with her family and friends and good dog Berni, every chance she gets.
