Councillor Laura Dupont

Laura’s passion for the community is rooted in her appreciation for nature.

A two term city Councillor she has volunteered for The Burke Mountain Naturalists, The Riverview Horticultural Centre Society and is also a founding member of a grassroots group dedicated to educating people about the importance of nature and the value of trees.

Laura serves on Metro Vancouver’s Climate Action Committee and is President of the Lower Mainland Local Government Association. She holds a seat on the Coquitlam River Watershed Roundtable, is a member of the Safe Energy Leadership Alliance, Tri-City Food Security Policy group, Climate Caucus with over 300 elected and NGO volunteers across Canada united on climate policy and advocacy, and is also a member of the BC NDP Standing Committee On The Environment.

Laura and her family stay active biking and hiking local trails, enjoying parks and paddling local rivers and lakes.
