Invite the Mayor

The Mayor’s Office receives numerous invitations to various events in and around Port Coquitlam. Please provide as much notice as possible – a month is preferred – when inviting the Mayor to your event.

Requests must include:

  • Name or type of event
  • Event date, time, location and schedule of events
  • Contact person and their daytime contact details
  • Role the Mayor would be asked to play (e.g. speak or take part in a ceremony)
  • The subject of the meeting.

Once the Mayor has reviewed the invitation, you will receive a response indicating if he can or can’t attend. In some cases, the Acting Mayor or a member of Council may represent the Mayor at events.
