Book Building Inspections Online with MyPortCoquitlam
Builders in Port Coquitlam can book and manage their building and plumbing inspections online to save time and avoid paper.
The service is part of the suite of MyPortCoquitlam 24/7 online services and the city’s ongoing efforts to support business in the community.
Anyone with a building permit in Port Coquitlam must have building inspections to ensure their building meets current structural, health, security and life safety standards. To learn more about permits, visit www.portcoquitlam.ca/building.
MyPortCoquitlam allows applicants to book, cancel or reschedule an inspection up to 10 days in advance and up to midnight the day before the inspection. The paperless system means no more lost or damaged inspection slips, and the ability to access inspection reports and information 24/7 from either a desktop computer or mobile device on the go.
To book a building inspection online, register or sign in at www.portcoquitlam.ca/myportcoquitlam and provide the following information:
- A secure, confidential personal access code (provided to the City when applying for a building permit).
- The permit number located on the top right hand side of the permit.
- Address of the property, including unit number if applicable.
- Type of inspection required (e.g. footing, framing, rough-in plumbing).
- Contact information.
- Morning or afternoon preference.

Builders with questions about inspections are encouraged to contact Building Division staff at 604-927-5444 or building@portcoquitlam.ca or by visiting the City Hall Annex counter from Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., at 200-2564 Shaughnessy St. (above the Bank of Montreal).
