City of Port Coquitlam Expands Hours at Fitness Centre

Effective immediately, the Port Coquitlam Community Centre (PCCC) Fitness Centre has extended hours of operation, to offer early morning opportunities for residents to get out and stay active.

Start your day with a morning workout at the state-of-the-art fitness centre in downtown Port Coquitlam at 2150 Wilson Ave. The centre is now open seven days a week: Monday to Friday from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m., and from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. The parkade gates to the free underground parking open at 5:30 a.m. Monday to Friday to allow fitness centre and ice arena users access.

The 8,500-square-foot two-storey fitness centre is a bright, modern space with high ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows offering views of the City, mountains and the pool zone below. Visitors will find commercial-quality equipment, cardio and functional training zones, a variety of wheelchair accessible equipment, personal and group training, and two bright, well-equipped studios with fitness, yoga, dance and spinning classes. The equipment includes multiple cardio options (treadmills, ellipticals, recumbent bikes and rowing machines), a Synrgy 360 functional training zone, strength stations, free weights, a wheelchair-accessible circuit, and recognized brands such as Cybex, Precor, Octane and Matrix. The fitness centre is available for everyone ages 12 and older.  Certified fitness staff are available to provide instruction and answer any questions.

Residents can purchase a One City Pass, which covers drop-in swimming, skating, fitness, racquetball/squash and all ages gym sports at all City recreation centres and pools. See for pass information.
