Community Invited To Port Coquitlam Council Inauguration
The City of Port Coquitlam is inviting residents to attend the inauguration of the City Council that will lead the community for the next four years.
The inauguration will take place on Nov. 8, 6 p.m. at the Port Coquitlam Community Centre – Mabbett Hall (2150 Wilson Avenue) to mark the first meeting of the new Council elected on Oct 15:

The ceremony begins with a procession led by a piper, an RCMP honour guard in red serge and a Fire & Emergency Services honour guard followed by the administering of the Oath of Office to the new Council. The event also includes the inaugural speech by the Mayor and remarks by each Councillor. A reception will follow with light refreshments.
The inauguration is held at PCCC to encourage participation from the community. Ample seating and parking is available to the public; those who wish to attend the event are asked to be in their seats prior to 6 p.m.
The new Council’s first regular meeting of 2022, will take place at 6 p.m. on Nov. 22 in Council Chambers at City Hall and can be viewed online at portcoquitlam.ca/councilmeeting.
