Get Funding For Your Project in Port Coquitlam

The City of Port Coquitlam is now accepting applications for the following grant program.

Community Capital Projects Matching Grants – (formerly Self-Help Matching Grant Program) – Application Deadline – March 31, 2021

The Community Capital Projects Matching Grant Program encourages projects that benefit to the community. Non-profit Port Coquitlam organizations, including sport, arts, environmental, parent/teacher and community-service groups are eligible to apply for matching funds between $1,000 and $10,000 for a future capital project that will take place within Port Coquitlam.

The former Self-Help Matching Grant Program has been updated to the Community Capital Project Matching Grant to better describe the purpose of the program. The funding criteria and guidelines remain the same. Projects can include new specialized equipment, new construction or upgrades of community facilities, sports fields, parks, playgrounds, and environmental habitats.

Past successful applications have included a Learning Garden by the Parent Advisory Council at Castle Park Elementary, equipment for digitization of archival documents by the Port Coquitlam Heritage and Cultural Society and a kitchen upgrade at the Kinsmen Club of Port Coquitlam.

A review committee ranks applications based on community support, public benefit, project budget and design. The decisions will be announced by the end of July.

Attend a Grant Information Session – March 2, 2021

Those interested in applying for the grant are encouraged to sign up for a free virtual information session taking place on March 2 from 5 – 6 p.m. via Zoom.

Participants will be guided through the Community Capital Projects Matching Grant application, offering tips for successful grant writing, and have questions answered virtually.

Visit portcoquitlam.ca/grants for more information, registration for the information session and to access the grant application.
