Leisure Pool Reopens Sept. 20 as Services Gradually Resume
The Port Coquitlam Community Centre (PCCC) leisure pool reopens today, Sept. 20 as the City continues to gradually and safely reintroduce recreation services.
Other recent expanded services include the reopening of the weight room at Hyde Creek Recreation Centre, longer recreation facility hours, and more drop-in and pre-registered opportunities. Links to current activities and schedules are posted at portcoquitlam.ca/restart.
Many people have been eagerly awaiting the return of the PCCC pool, which opened on Mar. 7, 2020 but was closed later that month due to the pandemic. Focused on leisure use, the pool has an accessible sloped entry, lazy river, play features, large hot tub and two 20m leisure swim lanes. Nearby are accessible changerooms, seating and lounge space, a steam room and sauna.
Like the rest of the PCCC, the pool area features a modern, airy design with B.C. wood architectural elements and expansive windows for optimal viewing of the south concourse and direct access to the spray park.

Tuesday and Wednesday: 4 – 8 p.m.

- Indoor or outdoor pools and aquatic amenities – all ages
- Arenas (but does apply to 22+ ice sport)

Terry Fox Library staff are available to help residents apply for their BC Vaccine Card.
Parking
The underground parkade is now open. 425 underground parking spots are available for three-hour free parking (enforced) for PCCC users only.
West Coast Express commuters are encouraged to:
- take transit to the station
- walk or cycle to the station (view trail map)
