Need More Info About Becoming A Volunteer? Join Us For A Volunteer Recruiting Day

The City of Port Coquitlam is pleased to offer opportunities for community members to volunteer in a variety of volunteer program areas. Volunteering builds strong resilient communities by connecting individuals through shared experiences, keeping the community safe and clean, protecting our environment, and supporting our seniors and those in need.

On Wednesday, Mar 29 from 2-6 p.m. the City’s three volunteer programs (Community Policing, Emergency Preparedness and Recreation) will be a hosting a volunteer recruiting day at the Port Coquitlam Community Centre (2150 Wilson Ave. in the hallway by the gymnasium). No registration is required.

With a new season of events set to begin, the City is actively recruiting volunteers 14 years of age or older in a variety of areas throughout the community. The recruitment day is a great opportunity to meet with City staff, talk to experienced volunteers, ask questions, and sign up to volunteer.

Candidates are encouraged to also visit portcoquitlam.ca/volunteer where they can find out more information about volunteering, the minimum qualifications, as well as instructions on how to apply.
