Pay Utilities by Mar. 31

Port Coquitlam property owners are reminded they have until March 31 to pay their 2021 utility bills without penalty.

Residents are encouraged to pay using the following options:

  • Online or by phone through a financial institution using the five-digit account number from the utility bill.
  • Mailing a cheque to City Hall – 2580 Shaughnessy Street, Port Coquitlam, V3C 2A8.
  • At most banks or financial institutions.
  • Using the secure drop box for cheques located at the front entrance doors of City Hall. Receipts will be mailed or emailed upon request.

If you are unable to pay using the above options, City Hall will be open in a limited capacity for payments from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. but there may be long line-ups due to the City implementing physical distancing and other COVID-19 safety measures.

Penalties will be applied if your financial institution rejects payment, or if payment is received after the due date (5% penalty for payments made after April 1 and a further 5% applies after May 31).

By now all properties should have received their 2021 bills, which include charges for water and sewer services. Residents who have not received their bills by mail, should immediately contact the Tax Office at 604-927-5425 or taxes@portcoquitlam.ca.

Residents can also sign up for the City’s convenient prepayment plan to start saving for next year’s utility and property tax bills by making manageable monthly payments. There are no administrative charges. Visit portcoquitlam.ca/prepayment for more information.

Property owners can also go paperless and sign up for MyPortCoquitlam at portcoquitlam.ca/online to view and manage their city tax and utility bills online.
