Port Coquitlam Waives Penalty and Extends Deadline for Utilities
PORT COQUITLAM, BC – Mar. 18, 2020…The City of Port Coquitlam is waiving the March 31 penalty and extending the deadline for payment of 2020 utility bills in response to City facilities being closed to the public this week to help stop the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19).
The City continues to monitor the situation and actions being taken by other levels of government and will consider extending the next due date of May 31 closer to the time.
“In light of the circumstances and challenging situations many of our residents are facing, we felt this was the right thing to do to,” said Mayor Brad West. “We hope this will provide some relief and support to our residents who may be feeling financial hardship and other pressures.”
Payments can be made through the following options:
- City Hall Letter Drop box located at front entrance doors for payments and correspondence. Receipts will be mailed or emailed upon request.
