Secure Your Spot at PoCo Biz Alley at May Days – May 12
Port Coquitlam businesses are invited to secure their spot at the fourth annual PoCo Biz Alley on Saturday, May 12.
Biz Alley provides local businesses with an opportunity to showcase their products and services to the thousands of people who attend the annual May Day Festival and Rotary Grande Parade.
Held from noon to 5 p.m., the home show-style event is one of the city’s economic development initiatives and encourages the community to shop local for their goods and services.
Businesses can sell their products as well as provide samples, coupons and ‘give-aways’. Food sales are not permitted unless prepacked.
The cost to participate is $100 for commercial businesses and $75 for home-based businesses. For the cost of registration, businesses will be provided with a table, two chairs and covered tent space in a prime location at the event. All participating businesses will also be promoted on the City website and advertised in the local newspaper.
New this year, all participants will be able to attend a free workshop on Monday, April 30 at Samz Pub on digital marketing and setting up displays.
As space is limited, early registration is recommended to secure a spot under the tented showcase. Participation is available to all businesses holding a valid Port Coquitlam business license.
Entrance to Biz Alley is free to the public and includes interactive displays, free giveaways and prizes. Biz Alley will be located in the Leigh Square area as part of the May Days Party in the Square following the parade on May 12, with live entertainment, displays, artisan market, food trucks and family activities.
