2245 Wilson Avenue Fire

We continue to provide updates as we monitor the aftermath of a large apartment structure fire at 2245 Wilson Avenue on June 25. The community’s thoughts are with those affected and their families. The cause of the fire is not yet known, but the investigation continues.
Support agencies are providing resources and support to displaced residents. Many members of our community have kindly offered support to the residents who have been displaced. Cash or gift card donations are being accepted at the Profile Properties office (8108-2331 Marpole Ave, Port Coquitlam). No essential items or belongings are being accepted. Due to the overwhelming amount of items already donated, a public garage sale will be held after residents of 2245 Wilson Avenue have had the chance to take any items they would like. Visit the garage sale on July 6 from 12-3PM at the Profile Properties office. Give what you can by donation to support residents!
As the structure has not been deemed safe to enter, Fire crews will facilitate gathering only essential items from the building at this time. Engineers will be assessing the structure to determine if it is safe to enter.
Wilson Avenue has reopened to vehicle traffic. The lane adjacent to Wilson remains closed.
