Minnekhada Park Fire Update #4 – Oct. 3 PM

Metro Vancouver brought in additional resources to fight the wildfire at Minnekhada Regional Park. Ground crews, supported by five helicopters, are showing progress along the fire line today and will continue to make more headway along challenging terrain. They continue to be successful at slowing the fire’s growth. Fire crews continue to remain on scene overnight to monitor the fire and operations will be redeployed once again as soon as it is safe to do so at first light. As mentioned, there is no concern for evacuation for residents, no disruptions for nearby schools, and no structures are at risk. We will continue to keep you updated and provide you with a detailed update tomorrow.
