PCCC Construction Update
Please be advised that as construction around the Port Coquitlam Community Centre continues over next few weeks to install new curbs, sidewalks and street lighting along Kingsway Avenue, Wilson Avenue and Maryhill Road (westside).
Crews are taking advantage of the promising weather next week to work on the sidewalks along Maryhill and Wilson Avenue.
Please note the following:
PARKING IMPACTS – the parking lot on Wilson Avenue on the south side of the building will be closed beginning Monday Jan 18 for a full week. There will be no street parking or access for pedestrians to walk along the south side of Wilson Avenue.
When you are in this area, please follow all posted signage:
- ARENA USERS please cross at Kingsway Avenue and then walk back to the Arena entrance using the north side of the sidewalk on Wilson Avenue.
- LIBRARY AND FITNESS PATRONS, please access the facility via the walkway that starts at the corner of Wilson Avenue and Mary Hill Road. (Reminder: The library is not currently charging overdue fines and services are available online at fvrl.ca)
Work crews will also be on site to direct you to the alternate routes.
As parking is limited in the area, and this construction will require temporary closures of adjacent parking area, all facility visitors are encouraged to take transit, walk or cycle.
A map of parking lots in the downtown area is available at portcoquitlam.ca/pccc.
We apologize for any inconveniences and appreciate your patience as we get through this exciting new phase of construction. Visit our website for project information.
