Smoking and Propane BBQ’s Banned in City Parks
Effective immediately, smoking and propane barbecues are banned from all City of Port Coquitlam parks, trails and natural areas.
The ban is the result of the extreme fire danger rating across the region that will remain in effect until there is significant rainfall. Campfires, open fires and charcoal or wood-burning barbecues are also prohibited in City parks and natural areas.
These measures were initiated due to the extreme hot and dry conditions across Port Coquitlam, and are in addition to the existing city-wide ban on outdoor burning, fireworks and campfires.
