Snow Update #3

Snow Update #3 – 3pm Dec. 18 – Snow has been falling steady since early this morning. However, environment Canada’s hourly forecast indicates that it will start to slow at around 5 to 6 pm tonight, with low temperatures well below freezing.

Conditions:

• Current road conditions – Priority routes have patchy coverage, and crews completed curb-to-curb Lougheed Hwy in both directions.

Streets:

• Six trucks are currently working all Priority 1 routes and will continue through the night

Parks:

Staff are applying salt to:

• Pedestrian routes (focused on the area around this evening’s CP Rail event)

• City Hall

• Park frontages

• Coast Meridian Overpass

• Let downs and islands
