In the City’s efforts to reduce dog waste from the garbage stream and regional landfills, we are placing Dog Waste only bins at 19 locations throughout the City. These bins will be emptied weekly and taken to a wastewater treatment plant for safe disposal. This is following a positive response to the two ‘Dog Waste Only’ bins we placed earlier in the year at our off-leash dog parks as a pilot project. We have also removed some of the plastic bag dispensers at low use locations as a cost savings measure. Please refer to the map below to find out where the new bins are located.
