Website Tracking:
We constantly improve this website to be more useful and user friendly. To do this, we gather statistics about what webpages people visit using cookies. This cookie does not collect any information we could use to identify you, such as your name, address, email address or phone number. The cookie does collect:
- Which pages you visited.
- The order you visited the pages.
- The page you entered the site on.

As soon as you leave the portcoquitlam.ca, the cookie stops gathering information. The City makes note of this information and uses Google Analytics to track which areas of our website were visited.

The city’s newsletters comply with Canada’s anti-spam legislation. When you subscribe, you authorize us to contact you with the information you provided to be informed on city programming from time to time. You can unsubscribe at any time.
Online transactions:
You can pay for some City services – such as Dog licence renewals, Business licence renewals and Bylaw Tickets – through our website.
These transactions are done through SSL-encrypted technology. This means that your credit card and other payment information is encrypted and transmitted to a secure payment processor’s website. Payment takes place on the secure payment processor’s website only. After your transaction is complete, we do not store your credit card or other payment information on our computer systems, just the success or failure of the credit card transaction.

We welcome your comments and encourage discussion, dialogue, and debate on our social media platforms. We strive to provide exceptional communication and encourage respectful and open dialogue through our social media channels. By posting on the City’s social media channels, you agree to these terms and conditions.
Voluntary posting of your personal information in response to a city social media post is not considered collection by the city under the Act. Individuals are responsible for the content of their posts.
