Community Capital Projects Matching Grant Program
The City of Port Coquitlam is partnering with the Port Coquitlam Community Foundation (PoCo Foundation) to administer the City’s Community Cultural Development Investment Program and Community Capital Project Matching Grants.
To learn about upcoming grant funding opportunities, including Community Cultural Development Grants, Community Capital Projects Matching Grants, and PoCo Community Foundation grants, attend the Grant Information Session on Thurs, April 21 from 5 PM – 6PM at the Gathering Place (Michael Wright Art Gallery). Please RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Community Capital Projects Matching Grant Program encourages projects expected to result in direct benefits to the community. Individuals and organizations may request funding for projects which involve capital assets (specialized equipment) and/or new construction, renovation or expansion of community facilities or spaces such as sports fields, parks, environmental habitat, community recreation, arts and culture, streetscapes, etc.
Formerly the Self-Help Matching Grant Program, the name has been updated to Community Capital Project Matching Grant to better describe the goal and purpose of the program. The funding criteria and guidelines have remained the same. Since it was launched in 2002, the Grant Program has provided hundreds of thousands of dollars in matching funds for community projects such as playgrounds, facility upgrades, and audio-visual theatre equipment.
Community Cultural Development Grants
Criteria and Selection Process
Applicants must be based in Port Coquitlam, and can apply for between $1,000 and $10,000 in matching funds for a future project that will take place within Port Coquitlam.
A review committee will rank applications based on project cost, community support, project need and impact, and project design. The decision is announced in July each year.
