Aquatic Lessons & Programs

The City of Port Coquitlam offers swimming lessons and programs for all ages and levels. Lessons are based on the Canadian Lifesaving Society Swim to Survive program.

Port Coquitlam is happy to announce our transition from the Canadian Red Cross “Swim Kids” program to the Lifesaving Society’s “Swim for Life” program, in January 2023. Canadian Red Cross will be focusing on humanitarian initiatives going forward, passing on the torch of teaching swimming lessons to the long-established Lifesaving Society of B.C. For more information, check out the following websites: read the Canadian Red Cross news release or visit lifesaving.bc.ca/swim-for-life.

The City has worked throughout the year to ensure staffing is in place for indoor and outdoor pools by actively and diligently recruiting Aquatic Leaders.
