Street Banner Project

About the Street Banner Program

The City of Port Coquitlam Community Banner Program is a municipal beautification initiative that showcases Port Coquitlam’s community spirit and pride and the artistic talents of its residents.

In 2019, the City introduced a pilot project for the banner program titled Naturally Poco, featuring photographic images submitted by community members for the Port Coquitlam Community Calendar. Due to the success of this project, the City of Port Coquitlam is continuing this Naturally PoCo theme for the 2022 Community Banner Program.

Call for Photos of Nature: 2023 Community Street Banner Program

Would you like to see your photographs on Port Coquitlam’s street banners in 2023? Shutterbugs who have taken striking photos of Port Coquitlam’s natural beauty are invited to submit them for the 2023 Community Banner program by October 9, 2022.

The City is always looking for photos of scenes and landscapes from all four seasons that showcase natural beauty in our community (e.g. flowers, wildlife, and landscapes). Images that show the photo was taken in Port Coquitlam are preferred to close-ups. The banners will be installed along various city streets in time for the May Days Festival for a one-year period.

To be considered for the Community Banner Program, submitted photos must meet the following criteria:

  • Format: jpeg or tiff
