The City has closed the Port Coquitlam Community Centre, Hyde Creek Centre, Outlet and the Gathering Place. Services are also being limited at City Hall and other city facilities to help slow the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19).
Take a break or enjoy your lunch in the Shaughnessy Pop-up Park, a new downtown oasis. Developed by the City, this temporary public space is a peaceful spot where those visiting or working downtown this summer can pause for a rest or enjoy a coffee or lunch from a nearby shop. The initiative improves the downtown’s walkability and livability, and supports downtown area businesses. Park space is generously provided by Insure-Line with project support from the Port Coquitlam Business Improvement Association.
Community groups and organizations interested in booking the space for performances and events are encouraged to apply with a proposal using the below online application form. The activities must add to the public’s enjoyment of the space, and cannot be a marketing, sales or fundraising event
