Bike Skills Park

Bike riders of all ages and skill levels use Port Coquitlam’s bike skills park, located on Shaughnessy Street north of Prairie Avenue.
During the summer, the bike park is supervised by experienced Park Hosts during daytime hours. The bike park includes technical features marked for beginner, intermediate and advanced riders, including:
- a start mound with progressive drops and sloped log rides;
- a beginner area with entry-level obstacles including log ride, ramped log crossing, step bridge, ladder decks at grade, rock box and teeter totter;
- an intermediate square complex with obstacles including skinnies, teeter totter, ramps, dirt jumps and log rides; and a wall ride and skate zone with quarter pipes and spine.
About 60 volunteers attended two community work days in 2007 to help shape the park’s technical features, and additional development has taken place each summer.
