School Skates

 

Enjoy skating with your class at the Port Coquitlam Community Centre! 

Students will have fun, build confidence and develop or strenghten skating skills while they lap skate. Add an optional sports zones at no additional cost or a Learn to Skate lesson.

School Skates:

  1. $300 program fee includes one hour of ice, skates and helmet rentals, use of 20 skating aids and hockey equipment if requested.
  2. Up to 75 skaters – inclusive of students, teachers, parents and support staff.
  3. Groups of 30 or less, email fenglers@portcoquitlam.ca to inquire about a reduced program fee.
  4. Groups of 75 to 100, email fenglers@portcoquitlam.ca to arrange additional fee of $3 extra per skater. Max 100 no exceptons due to skate and helmet inventory
  5. Recommed bringing different grades, e.g. Grade 2 and 5 to assist with rental inventory

Lessons:

  • Lesson inquires email fenglers@portcoquitlam.ca after booking your one hour session.
  • Additional fee based on quanity of students and number of lessons.

 

Learn to Skate Mini Lessons

Encourage students to be active and learn a lifelong skill. Start your school skate with a 15 minute mini lesson to provide basic skills need to skate safely and have fun. Enthusiastic instructor(s) will lead classes and then provide support during the skate for those who needed a little extra help and encouragement. 

Learn to Skate Lesson Sets

Help students build confidence by developing or strengthening skating skills by booking one or multiple 30 minute lessons. Taught by enthusiastic and qualified instructors, skaters are evaluated and divided into groups based on experience and staff will provide support during remainder of ice rental. 

One Instructor: $25/hr Two Instructors: $50/hr Three Instructors: $75/hr

Grade 5 Get Active/Grade 6 Stay Active Skates

Grade 5 Get Active and Grade 6 Stay Active cards not applicable for school skates, enjoy attending a drop in public skate instead.

School Holiday Skates

Rent the whole arena to host annual holiday school skate. Whether hosted by local PACS or schools these events are enjoyed by all and designated Arena Attendants are included to assist with equipment rentals and a festive evening!
