Brissa Mendez Guitierrez

Brissa was one of the first volunteers to step up to lead foot patrols with the local Port Coquitlam Community Police Station during the pandemic. This involved taking extra safety precautions, ensuring her fellow core group of volunteers were safe, and being extra eyes and ears to keep the community vibrant and safe. This occurred by getting back to the basics of reporting suspicious activity, aiding in graffiti removal, and communicating with other City departments regarding concerns such as bylaws or blocked roads.
