City of Port Coquitlam Invites Food Truck Vendors to Apply for 2026 Event Lineup

News

The City of Port Coquitlam is launching its 2026 Food Truck Event Series and is inviting food truck vendors to apply to be part of the City’s popular annual event lineup. The series provides vendors with opportunities to showcase their culinary offerings at high-profile community events attended by thousands of residents and visitors throughout the year.

Participating food trucks benefit from strong foot traffic at major City celebrations, including May Days, which typically attracts approximately 20,000 attendees, and Canada Day, which draws crowds of more than 25,000 people. Additional opportunities are available through Car Free Day and Summer in the City, which encompasses Music in the Square and Cinema Under the Stars, as well as Pride celebrations, creating multiple touchpoints for vendors to connect with the community.

Vendors selected for the 2026 series will be supported through City-led marketing and promotional efforts, including digital advertising, social media promotion, and coordinated event communications. These efforts are designed to maximize vendor visibility and support strong customer engagement throughout the event season.

The Food Truck Event Series is part of the City’s ongoing commitment to fostering vibrant, inclusive community experiences while supporting local and regional businesses. The program offers a welcoming and well-organized environment that encourages repeat attendance and helps vendors build lasting connections with customers.

Application deadlines for the 2026 Food Truck Event Series are as follows:

  • March 1, 2026 for participation in May Days, Canada Day, and Car Free Day
  • May 1, 2026 for participation in Cinema Under the Stars and Music in the Square events and Pride celebrations
