Major Events
Port Coquitlam is a seasoned festival host, with a variety of major events attracting thousands from across the region to its parks, public spaces and downtown streets.
What: Annual multi-day spring festival including a May Day Royal Party and children’s Maypole dancing, and capped off by a full-day event including a kids’ bike race, the Rotary May Day Parade, and Party in the Square with entertainment, family fun, beer garden, market and more.
Who: 20,000+ residents of Port Coquitlam and across the region.
When: May 5-11, 2024 with Party in the Square on May 11
Where: Downtown Port Coquitlam and Port Coquitlam Community Centre, 2150 Wilson Ave.
What: Full-day annual celebration of Canada’s birthday with a morning fishing derby and afternoon festival featuring entertainment, family fun, a market, community displays, food vendors, a beer garden and fireworks display.
Who: 25,000+ residents of Port Coquitlam and across the region.
When & Where: July 1. Fishing derby & pancake breakfast 8-11 a.m. at Lions Park; and main event 12 p.m. to dusk at Castle Park.
What: A new full-day festival promoting climate-friendly transportation and community spirit featuring live performances, family-friendly entertainment and games, informational and community displays, food, beverages and more.
Who: 5,000+ residents of Port Coquitlam and across the region.
Where: Sept. 7, 2024 on McAllister Avenue in downtown Port Coquitlam.
What: The annual Christmas in the Square and Winter Market is the official kick-off to the holiday season, with family-friendly activities, food and beverages, photos with Santa, holiday craft-making, live music and the official lighting ceremony.
Who: 5,000+ residents, primarily from Port Coquitlam.
When & Where: Christmas in the Square and Winter Market take place Saturday Nov. 30, 2024 at Port Coquitlam Community Centre, followed by other seasonal events around the community throughout December

Sponsorship Levels and Benefits
We offer sponsors a variety of opportunities to align their business or organization with the City of Port Coquitlam and one of our popular events or programs.
Sponsorship levels vary based on event budget, audience and reach, but in general, levels will include:
Title sponsor – all benefits and highest level of exposure, with sponsor name mentioned in all references.
Gold sponsor – all benefits and high exposure.
Silver, bronze and community sponsors – benefits and exposure tiered, based on contribution.
