Toss it? No way!
At Repair Café Port Coquitlam, you will find experienced volunteers, with expert tools and materials, to help fix common household items. Visitors are welcome to bring their cherished items for repair – bicycles, jewelry, textiles, small appliances, electronics, furniture, toys, crockery, etc. During the repair, visitors have the opportunity to learn how to make small repairs themselves while maintaining their items to keep them lasting much longer.
We are part of an international movement to divert our stuff from landfills and give our things a new lease on life with a simple repair. Since 2011, the Repair Café International Foundation has provided support to local groups across the globe to start a repair café in their own community. The Repair Café Port Coquitlam is one of 2500 operating worldwide!
Let’s fix it together!
Since June of 2019, the Repair Café Port Coquitlam has operated with a mission to inspire a culture of re-use and repair while providing opportunities for intergenerational knowledge-sharing, and community building.
Experience the Repair Café yourself!
Visitors are invited to bring their broken household items and learn how to fix them at one of our upcoming Repair Cafés.
We are located at the Public Works Yard (1737 Broadway Street – entrance off of Cameron Ave.). Each event operates from 10am-2pm. Donations are gratefully accepted for all repairs.
