Recruitment Stages

The firefighter recruitment process consists of eleven unique stages:

  • Stage 2: Written Aptitude Test
  • Stage 3: Physical Ability and Team Effectiveness Assessment
  • Stage 4: Panel Interview
  • Stage 5: Police Information Check
  • Stage 6: In Station Assessment Day
  • Stage 7: Selection for Eligibility Pool
  • Stage 8: Personal Reference Checks
  • Stage 9: Pre-Employment Medical Evaluation
  • Stage 10: Conditional Offer of Employment
  • Stage 11: Fire Chiefs Official Call to Serve
