Celebrate your child's special day with our birthday parties! Birthday parties are available to book on Saturdays. Registration is available 60 days before the date of the party. Parties include:
- An hour of active play, either in the Gym, Sports Hall or Pool
- An hour in the Party Room, where you can serve your own food and cake
Each party will have a party leader to lead the active portion of the party with age-appropriate activities, sports or games. This excludes Splash Birthdays where children can enjoy the pool on their own. If your child would like to play a specific game or sport, please let us know so that it can be arranged. The leader can also assist in the party room with serving food and cake or leading quieter games or activities to keep the children entertained.

We offer a variety of birthday party options. Whether your child loves sports, swimming, or just running around with friends, there’s something for everyone!
Tot Birthday
Age 0-5 yrs
Offered at Port Coquitlam Community Centre & Hyde Creek Recreation Centre
The first hour of our Tot Birthdays is held in the Sports Hall or Playroom 3. The leader will set up an obstacle course for the little ones to explore for the first half. After free time is over, the leader will run age-appropriate games or activities for the children. The second hour will be spent in the Party Room. You can serve your own food or cake in the Party Room.
Sports Birthday
5-10 yrs
Offered at Port Coquitlam Community Centre
The first hour of our Sports Birthdays are held in the gym. The leader will lead some age-appropriate sports games or activities of the birthday child’s choice or allow for free time with a variety of sports equipment. The second hour will be spent in the Party Room. You can serve your own food or cake in the Party Room. The leader can assist with anything that you need and will also bring in a birthday party cart with fun games and activities.
Fun & Games Birthday
5-10 yrs
Offered at Hyde Creek Recreation Centre
The first hour of our Fun & Games Birthdays is spent in the Sports Hall where our leader will lead the children in a variety of games. If you have specific games you would like to play, let us know. The Sports Hall has a soft floor, accommodating sports like soccer or dodgeball. If you would like to play basketball or hockey, Sports Birthdays are a better fit. The second hour will be spent in the Party Room. You can serve your own food or cake in the Party Room.
Splash Birthday
7-10 yrs
Offered at Hyde Creek Recreation Centre
To get the most out of your Splash Party, the first hour is held in the Party Room. You can serve food or cake in the Party Room, the party leader can lead a few smaller games if time permits. After the first hour, the children have time to get changed and then head into the pool. Once the children are in the pool the leader will assist with clean-up and help parents transfer items out of the room. Admission to the pool for all the party children and 2 of adults is included in the party package. Children must be over the age of 7 to swim independently. Any child under 7 must have an adult within arm’s reach of them while in the pool.
Youth Centre & Sports Hall Birthday
11-15 yrs
