Nematodes are microscopic organisms that can control European Chafer Beetles. They are most effective when applied around late July and mid-August.
As your lawn must be watered thoroughly before and after a nematode application, you can apply for a watering permit for nematode application to sufficiently water treated lawns during lawn watering restrictions.
Approved permits allow for watering outside of the restricted days and times, within the permit’s validity period.
Approved permits are valid for a period of 21 days from the permit issue date, between May 1 to October 15.
Permits are only valid during Stage 1 water restrictions and will not be renewed if the region moves into Stage 2, 3 or 4 water restriction levels. Permits issued in Stage 1 remain in effect until the permit expires.
Approved permits will be issued within 3-5 business days of applying.
*Please note: This is a watering permit for nematodes application. If you are applying to water a new lawn growing by seed or sod, apply for a watering permit here.
