The City of Port Coquitlam and PoCo Arts Council invite you to our May Cultural Roundtable on the theme of building resilient partnerships in arts, culture and heritage. Cultural Roundtables are a lively networking event open to everyone interested in arts, culture and heritage in Port Coquitlam. All are welcome. Light refreshments will be provided.

Agenda:

  • Presentation by Port Coquitlam’s new Artist in Residence in Leigh Square, Sarah Kennedy. Sarah’s dance practice centers on movement, collaboration, and creating inclusive spaces for creative expression. Sarah will discuss her project Dance is for a Small Space—a free, community-engaged dance program that invites participants of all ages and experience levels to explore movement, creativity, and collaboration. Sarah’s residency is supported by the PoCo Community Foundation and City of Port Coquitlam.
  • Interactive, hands-on workshop on building strong, resilient partnerships. The learnings will be applicable whether your focus is on arts, culture and heritage or another sector.

Cultural Roundtables are a lively networking event is open to everyone interested in arts, culture and heritage in Port Coquitlam. This event is a great opportunity to meet local artists and representatives from arts, culture and heritage organizations, as well as Arts & Culture staff from the City of Port Coquitlam.

  • November 19, 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm - Winter Arts Social
    • The Winter Arts Social Event will be a fun and entertaining evening to celebrate arts, culture and heritage in Port Coquitlam, featuring live music, refreshments, and networking. Attendees will be invited to paint a handmade ornament to take home. The City and PoCo Arts Council will recognize a number of arts, culture and heritage groups and individuals who have made a positive contribution to our City’s cultural life in 2026.
