May Days Royal Party Application

Children and youth to participate in the cherished tradition of May Days by joining the Royal Party!

Application deadline: Sunday, January 11, 2026

Applications are being accepted for:

  • Flower Girls and Junior Lancers from Grades 2 and 3
  • Princesses and Lancers from Grades 4 and 5

Duties will include participating in:

  • Maypole dance practices – Mondays and Wednesdays beginning March 2nd from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm the Port Coquitlam Community Centre in Arena 2/Green Arena (No rehearsals during spring break).
  • Royal Party Selection Luncheon – April 12 from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm
  • May Day Opening Ceremony Rehearsal – May 3 from 9:30 to 12:30 pm
  • May Day Opening Ceremonies – May 3 from 3:00 to 4:30 pm
  • May Day Parade with the City float, followed by a light Lunch – May 9, 10:30 am to 1:00 pm

*Please note that there will be a Parent Information Meeting on Monday, February 23, 2026 for parents of the children who are selected to be part of the Royal Party.
