Wall of Interactions is a community based engagement art project that was created and curated by Ratna Gandhi during her artist residency at the Outlet in Port Coquitlam between October 2020 and May 2021.
Ratna drew inspiration for this project from her experience as an immigrant settling into a new space. The mural consists of several square glazed ceramic tiles with a common theme of nature running through them. Truly emblematic of Canada’s identity as a land that abounds in natural beauty, this is an ode to the geographical and cultural diversity of the country. It also represents the profound relationship that Canadians share with their homeland, and with nature that defines their history and identity.
This installation can be found in Hyde Creek Community Centre (1379 Laurier Ave, Port Coquitlam, BC).
