Community Activations
Planning a community activation? Please read key guidelines.
The FIFA World Cup 26™ Vancouver Host Committee, which is part of the City of Vancouver, has published a Community Activation Playbook with practical guidance for businesses, community groups and municipalities. This playbook provides detailed information on the FIFA World Cup 26™ Vancouver Brand and guidelines on how businesses can align with Vancouver’s hosting plans.
The BC Tourism FC in partnership with several organizations including the Province of BC and local Destination Management Organizations, has also released the BC Tourism FC’s FIFA World Cup 26™ Playbook to equip tourism partners across BC with essential tools, guidance and examples to prepare and align with FIFA World Cup 26™.
If your business (e.g. bar, café, restaurant, hotel) plans to show matches as part of normal operations (on existing screens, free to attend, no ticket sales), no license is needed.
If you plan a larger public viewing (e.g. expecting 1,000+ or adding sponsors, charging admission, or special activations), you must apply for a Public Viewing License via the FIFA Public Viewing Platform.
If you plan to host events in Port Coquitlam (parks, streets, plazas, open spaces) you will need to complete the Host An Event Application Form.
Share Promotions in Connection with PoCo’s Soccer Socials
The City of Port Coquitlam is inviting local hospitality businesses to share any promotions, specials or activities planned in connection with PoCo’s Soccer Socials, a free public viewing series taking place at Terry Fox Hometown Square from June 11 to July 19, 2026.
Participating businesses may be included in City promotional materials to help residents and visitors find local options before, during and after each viewing.
Please note that submitting this form does not guarantee inclusion in all promotional materials. The City may edit submissions for length, clarity and consistency. Businesses are responsible for ensuring their offers, promotions and activities comply with all applicable regulations, licensing requirements and brand/trademark guidelines.
