Mark your calendar for July 1, when Port Coquitlam celebrates a picnic in the park for Canada Day with free family activities, local culture, live entertainment and more.
The day kicks off with a Lions Club pancake breakfast and fishing derby at Lions Park from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m. The fishing derby is free for kids under 10 years of age. No registration is required.
Bring your family and friends, grab your beach chairs and blankets and enjoy all the festivities at Castle Park on Sat. July 1 from 12:00 - 10:00 p.m. with headliners Chad Brownlee and Big Sugar.
The free all-day event includes live music, family-friendly entertainment, beverage garden, mouth-watering eats from local food trucks, market vendors and more.
There will be a variety of marketplace and food truck vendors on-site, and of course a spectacular fireworks display closing out the evening at dusk.
