WHL Pre-Season Tickets To Go On Sale August 14

The City of Port Coquitlam is excited to host two Western Hockey League (WHL) pre-season games - Vancouver Giants vs. Prince George Cougars on Fri. Sept. 8 at 7:00 p.m and Victoria Royals vs. Cougars on Sat. Sept. 9 at 7:00 p.m at the Port Coquitlam Community Centre (PCCC) - Jon Baillie Arena.

Tickets will be available to purchase for $16 (plus tax) online or by phone beginning at 8:00 a.m. on Mon., Aug. 14 for Port Coquitlam residents, and 8:00 a.m. Thurs., Aug. 17 for the general public.

For those purchasing tickets for the Vancouver Giants vs. Prince George Cougars game, visit portcoquitlam.ca/vangiants and for the Prince George Cougars vs. Victoria Royals, visit portcoquitlam.ca/pgcougars. To purchase tickets by phone contact Recreation at 604.927.PLAY (7529).

Tickets will be available for pick up between Tues. Sept. 5 to Thurs. Sept. 7 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.at the arena reception desk by the ice rinks. Tickets can also be picked up day of Sept. 8 and 9, at the will-call station, located in the main corridor across from the gymnasium from 5:00-7:00 p.m.

Approximately 750 tickets will be available for each game and all seating will be general admission (first come, first serve). Any remaining tickets will also be available for sale at the door for each game. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. We encourage residents to arrive early in order to secure their seats.

The Port Coquitlam Community Centre concession will be open before and during the game and will offer specials:

  • Hot Dog, Chips and Pop $9.00 plus tax or
  • Beef Burger, Chips, Any 473 ml Beer and Chips $17.75 plus tax (19+ only)

Prior to puck drop on Sat, Sept. 9 pregame celebration include:

  • Port Coquitlam Firefighters will face off, in a charity hockey game vs. RCMP at 3:00 p.m. Come out and cheer on your local first responders.
