Leisure Pool Closure At Port Coquitlam Community Centre

The leisure pool and aquatic area at the Port Coquitlam Community Centre (PCCC) will be temporarily closed starting Tuesday, January 2, 2024 for an early annual maintenance shutdown due to an unforeseen deficiency at the facility that requires immediate attention.

Repairs are expected to take four to six weeks to complete, with anticipated reopening in February 2024. All other areas of the facility will remain operational throughout the closure, however there will be no access to changerooms or showers in the aquatic area of the building for the duration of the repairs however change rooms and showers are available in the main lobby area.

Residents who register for swimming lessons or other aquatic classes at PCCC will be moved to Hyde Creek Recreation Centre.

The Wilson Lounge, weight room, arenas and the gymnasium will remain open during regular hours of operation. The customer service attendants are available to answer questions and process program registrations.

Please ensure that you check the facility website for hours of operation and admission fees before you go.

The City's Hyde Creek Recreation pool and its recreation amenities at 1379 Laurier Avenue are open during this period for the community to use and have extended their hours Monday to Friday until 10:00p.m.
