Seniors are a vital part of our community, whose valuable contributions make our City a wonderful place to live, work and play.
The City is inviting Port Coquitlam seniors to celebrate B.C. Seniors Week from June 2 - 8 at the Port Coquitlam Community Centre (PCCC). Seniors will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of festivities and programs.
Seniors Week Events
Mon. June 3 - 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
- Homeowners Grant Workshop - 9:30 - 10:00 a.m.: Join us for an informative workshop where City staff will guide you through the process of applying for the Homeowners Grant online. FREE. Registration required online at portcoquitlam.ca/register. (activity #97118) PCCC - Small multipurpose room.
- Pancake Breakfast and Coffee/Tea - 10:00 -11:30 a.m.: Come out and celebrate with a FREE pancake breakfast in the Wilson Lounge. No registration required. First come, first served.
- Silver Chord Choir Performance - 1:00 - 2:00 p.m.: The Silver Chord Choir is hosting a spring concert. Come and enjoy the music. PCCC - Mabbett Hall.
Tues. June 4 -3:30 - 5:30 p.m.
- Guided Painting Class: Join art instructor Marnie Maule as she guides you through creating a beautiful springtime painting. No experience needed, all materials are provided. FREE. Registration required online at portcoquitlam.ca/register. (activity #97634) PCCC - JB Young Room.

- New Members Info Session: New to Wilson Seniors? Join other new members, City staff, and Wilson Seniors Advisory Board members to learn more about what seniors' services and programs are available with a membership. FREE. Thurs. June 6 - 12:30 to 2:30 p.m.
- Seniors Week Luncheon - Luncheon with Mayor Brad West and Council members - Join us for the party as we celebrate seniors in the community in the Wilson lounge. Live entertainment, lunch, refreshments and desserts (provided by Aspira Mayfair Terrace Retirement Living and Aspira Astoria Retirement Living). FREE for members. Non-members $10. Fri. June 7 - 1:00 to 2:00 p.m.
- Container Gardening Workshop - Join Master Gardener Lori Greyell to learn how to garden with limited space. FREE. Registration required online at portcoquitlam.ca/register. PCCC - Mabbett Hall. Activity #97120.
Sat. June 8 - 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
- Health and Wellness Fair: The Wilson Seniors Advisory Association hosts their annual Health and Wellness Fair, showcasing community resources. Check out what's available to you in the City. FREE admission. PCCC- Mabbett Hall. No registration required.
Other Offerings and Supports for Seniors
In addition to Seniors' Week activities, the City offers a variety of ongoing programs and services for adults 60+:
- 80+ Seniors - No admission and membership fees for super seniors 80 years and older to support active aging, increase participation and reduce barriers. (Port Coquitlam Residents)
- Wilson Seniors Member - Those 60 years and better can join Wilson for discounted pricing on pre-registered programs, discounted pricing at the Wilson Kitchen, reduced drop-in Wilson Seniors program fees and members-only classes and more.
