Canada Post continues to operate during strike action. The Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) has launched a nationwide overtime ban for employees in both the Urban and RSMC (Rural and Suburban Mail Carriers) bargaining units. As a result, Canada Post will continue operating but customers may experience delays.
The City has worked to avoid postal service delays and disruptions by sending property tax notices out in early May. Tax notices have been starting to arrive in mailboxes. However, there is a possibility that the service disruption may impact the delivery of your property tax notices. Property taxes are due July 2, 2025.
